Pressure Sustaining Control Valve , which reduces the outlet pressure to the desired value by fixing the inlet pressure; carries two pilot valves on them. While the pilot valve on the inlet side fixes the pressure, the other pilot valve reduces the pressure, reduces the outlet pressure value to the desired level and keeps it constant. In this way, the valve will provide the flow rate at the appropriate speed without being affected by the flow rate changes.
