Fire Hydrant Our product consists of 4 pieces, 2 of which remain under the ground to ensure the protection of the main piece.
The hydrant works on the principle that the mechanism inside is activated by turning the upper head part counterclockwise, and it is closed by turning it clockwise. After closing, the automatic drainage valve is activated. The automatic drainage valve prevents the hydrant from being damaged due to freezing.
Fire hydrants are used to protect buildings from fire and to intervene from the outside in fires that cannot be extinguished with the first intervention. They should be installed in a way that covers the entire perimeter of the building (factory, warehouse, hospital, school, hotels, residential areas, shopping malls, green areas, industrial areas) as much as possible. The hydrants to be placed within the system are used to meet the water needs of the fire department.
ADVANTAGES:
The new impact and breakage-proof fire hydrant has an automatic water shut-off system, unlike the ones on the market. Hydrants are placed in places such as buildings, roadside arches or parking lots to provide ease of use and access. In this case, vehicles or construction equipment may hit and the hydrant may break as a result of the impact. Quite a large amount of water is lost from the moment of breakage to the moment of intervention. Our new technology fire hydrant has an automatic shut-off system against breakage and impact. Thanks to this system, there is no water loss even if the hydrant breaks and this prevents other hydrants in the line from being disabled due to this failure. In addition to the advantages listed above, our hydrant also allows maintenance to be carried out without intervening in the water in the line when maintenance is required.

FIRE HYDRANT MOUNTING METHOD

It is assumed that 3 hydrants (maximum 4) are normally used in a fire and the fire extinguishing time is 3-15 minutes.
1. A sufficient number of hydrants should be placed outside the buildings to be protected in case of fire, and two hoses should be connected to the same place.
Distance between hydrants,
- In factories and warehouses: 40-50 m.
- In cities: 150 m
2. The distance between hydrants and the building should not be less than 12 m under normal conditions. (In cases where this distance is not suitable, they should be placed in suitable places at short distances. These places can be the edges of walls that will not collapse in the event of a fire or areas where smoke and heat will have little effect.)
3. Hydrants should be placed on flat stones or concrete ground, and the surroundings of the automatic drain equipment should be filled with small stones, gravel, etc.
4. When placing the hydrant, the centre of the hose connection fittings should not be lower than 305 mm from the ground.
5. If the piping is newly installed, the pipes should be thoroughly cleaned before supplying water to the hydrant.
