Cast Iron Pipe FP PREIS-SML Sound Insulation Features ;
Protection from noise is one of the most important advantages of the Cast Iron Pipe FP PREIS-SML product.
A sound insulation test was carried out in accordance with DIN 4109 and EN 14366 standards at the renowned Fraunhofer Institute in Stuttgart in December 2011. FP PREIS SML Cast Iron Pipe and fittings and standard clamps were used for wall connections, the sketch is on the left.
The experimental setup for the sewer system placed on the installation wall with different Cast Iron Pipe Clamps is as shown in the figure on the left. (The dimensions in the picture are not exact measurements, dimensions are in mm). The sketch was obtained from the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics.
Cast Iron Pipe FP PREIS-SML Noise Level Test;
This experiment was carried out to isolate the air backlash from the impact sound transmission. Cast Iron Pipe test results showed that the Rapid joint clamped cast iron drainage system has a very low noise level as an independent system. The most important point in Cast Iron Pipe sound insulation is the wall or ceiling connections, i.e. the connection of the pipe system with the wall and ceiling. In case of additional use of sound insulation elements, the noise level can be greatly reduced in Cast Iron Pipe up to a noise level that the human ear cannot hear. The situations in which the best results will be obtained in the daily installation of the product, not under laboratory conditions, were simulated in this way.

Cast Iron Pipe FP PREIS-SML Preventive fire protection;
The general concept of all measures that prevent the spread of fire, the spread of flames, the effect of the spread in advance or limit this spread is called preventive fire protection. These protection measures are vital for the structural measures of crowded places and public buildings. Cast Iron Pipe FP PREIS-SML drainage system has been tested in accordance with EN 877 standard by the Austrian Chemistry and Technical Research Institute with the SBI test and in accordance with EN 13823 standard by means of bomb calorimeter in terms of fire resistance of the manufactured building materials (test of reaction to fire of construction products) and in accordance with EN ISO-1716 standard (determination of combustion heat). Cast Iron Pipe has also been approved for class A2 designation based on EN 13501 standard. 
Cast Iron Pipe FP PREIS-SML does not burn (fire class A2, according to EN 13501 standard), there is no dripping material due to the heat generated (d0), no smoke is generated due to the system (S1)
